Sowing Seeds of Thought

What we think creates our reality

Here is a little secret, we are infinite creators of our reality. We create our reality 24/7, all the time, most people do it unconsciously, very few consciously. Seeds of thought get sown from a very early age. When we are children our brains are mostly in Theta and in that state we absorb information, seeds of thoughts. Parents are usually our worst/best culprits when it comes to sowing seeds that create our reality in adulthood.

When we are young our imagination is limitless, which means our thoughts are limitless. Slowly we here the words “No”, Don’t touch that”, “Behave”, “Come here”, “You have been a bad Boy/Girl”. Parents are not the only people creating these seeds, your Pastor, Grand Parents, Teachers, Siblings all have a factor on we view the world from an early age.

You can not really blame them, they are just passing down the same limiting beliefs and conditions that they were taught and grew up with, so it feels normal. If a Dad was brought up with poor self esteem by his dad by saying the following “You’re never going to amount to anything” or “you are stupid”, he is going to feel this way and pass it along to his son. Not only verbally but energetically right down to the cellular level. Our cells are listening to everything we say and feel, and respond accordingly.

I was brought up with criticism and judgment from one side of my family and I carried this into my adult life. These are seeds of thought planted in my reality. I attracted criticism and judgmental people into my life as a reflection of who I am. I felt judged and criticized and therefor I criticized and judged. The world reflected back to me what I was. I have had to do many hours of shadow work, journaling, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and sitting down with family members to heal this aspect of me. One thing I discovered is the other party is not interested in healing so I have to do the healing work on myself.

Thoughts are very subtle and powerful forms of energy, we have to be careful with our thoughts and regain control of them. In yoga teacher training it was told to me that we have 60,000 thoughts a day 90% of them were the same thoughts as yesterday. We are playing the same movie over and over in our head. Most of the thoughts we have are negative, why? Negative thoughts are heavy and sticky like mud on a screen door. Positive thoughts are like a cool breeze on a hot summer day, light and feel good.

Once we have a thought, we then start to put thoughts into words, a more dense energy, vibration. Next is action, the heaviest energy that becomes physical reality, hence manifestation. When we think, say and act from a negative mind set such as “I am a Loser” you unleash tremendous creative energy into motion. This can lead to illness, accidents, loss or any other negative occurrence that will show up in your life.

Mastering Our Thoughts

We are here to be creative masters our lives in all aspects and not just in one, our career. Mastery is hard, we have to break the bonds of our upbringing, the code that has been hardwired into our thoughts. Perhaps you are familiar with the “Law of Attraction”. We attract what our vibration is that we give off. If our thoughts are on the negative side we attract more of the negative. I used to joke and say the following “I am not broke, I am just financially embarrassed” (even thinking and writing this has a powerful effect – delete delete) well can you guess what showed up in my life?

There is a saying I once heard “want to know what someone was thinking yesterday? Look at their life today”. This is very true. We create our reality and it shows us everyday in others reflected back to us. Everyone you interact with everyday is a reflection of yourself. The best example of this is how we treat each other when driving in cars. Use your driving experience to see how your thoughts flow in traffic… I bet they are mostly negative.

Choose your thoughts wisely, choose to be in gratitude, choose thoughts that are loving, compassionate and joyful and watch how your life begins to shift. Good things start coming your way, life is friendlier, easier, not such a struggle. The magic of life starts to reveal itself to you as it is always there, one tends to be in a woeful state and misses it all.
